Food.

So Bryce can't cook (unless it comes in a box with directions...specific directions), so that leaves all the cooking to me. I don't really mind all the cooking though, I actually kind of like it. The other night I made homemade pizza for Bryce, Emily, Ziska, and I as well as homemade garlic knots. If I don't say so myself, it was rather tasty :)

Don't they look yummy? That is what I made...IMPRESSIVE! Haha. Anyways, this post is mostly pictures of everything that I want to try and make. I am also very hungry right now, so this post is totally being initiated by my stomach!
Homemade Taquitos! Yes please :)

Twice baked, baked potatoe casorole! Sounds and looks amazing!!

It. is. Nutella. HOMEMADE. Chocolate Heaven!

 Mini Apple Pie :)

These look kinda gross...but kinda fun! Definitely have to try it out!

Gotta love beef :) It looks so good!

Not just enchiladas...Buffalo Chicken Enchiladas! Yummy!!

These only take 3 ingredients! Melted Candy Corn, peanut butter, and chocolate! Making these very soon!

This is just adorable!

You can find all these lovely looking recipes on Pinterest! My new addiction :)

The Challenges of Living Together

What Challenges?

Bryce and I moved into our new apartment on the night of September 25th officially. The two weeks prior we had been moving stuff back and forth from his house and my house to our apartment. I am still moving stuff. So far, Bryce and I have done really well living together. We survived our first major grocery shopping trip to WinCo and I think we have enough food to last us a few months (Thanks Mom and Dad!). We have worked out a good system of how to get to school and save on gas...less money to spend!!

So what are these "Challenges"?
Let me tell you.

So we didn't have hot water in our apartment the first night we stayed there. Luckily the maintenance guy showed up bright and early on Monday to fix it! Good thing too because I did not want to go to work with greasy hair!! We hurtled that little obstacle!

The 2nd Challenge! I went to start a load of laundry (Thank goodness we have a washer and dryer in our unit!) and I noticed thick, rusty water all over the ground. Our washer and dryer are in a little closet with the hot water heater. I knew that the nasty water hadn't been there before, but it was after 5 o'clock so we had to wait till the next morning to call maintenance. When maintenance showed up the next day, they informed Bryce that we had "caught the problem right in time." In time of what? Our hot water heater's bottom was rusting away and within a few days we would have had 50 gallons of water in our living room! I am so happy we didn't have that happen!

So now we move onto challenge number 3! Our neighbors have a thousand cats!! Well more like 4 or 5 to be realistic, but it's still a lot! These lovely cats like to sleep on top of cars...kinda cute, right? No. They are leaving little dirty paw prints all over our cars! So I made a comment to Bryce one day, while walking to his Truck, that "Who the hell do these cats think they are to be all over his truck!" I said it kinda quitely but I was pretty ticked off. I turned around to notice our neighbor's door was open (crazy cat people!) but I wasn't sure if they had heard me... Well I am pretty sure they did, because a few days later, the crazy cat lady was outside and when I came out, she very nicely told her cat to "Leave the young lady next door alone." It made me laugh a little.

The is a FOURTH challenge! They are tiny. They are black. They crawl around. They are SUGAR ANTS! Yes, SUGAR ANTS! They took home in our kitchen yesterday morning. Ants are disgusting and only live to die essentially. That is exactly what my little ant friends are doing currently. Bryce and I went out and bough ant poison last night and left for our little friends. I am hoping they are gone within a few days.

You probably think that is all the challenges we have had in our mere 2 weeks and 2 days of living together, but there is still one more challenge.

Our other neighbors have thousands of cars! (One has cats, the other has cars!) So there are two identical white cars that are tricked out pretty nice. One has red rims, the other has blue. Okay, so two cars is understandable. THEN there is a little silver sports car, a silver truck, a motorcycle, and a coupe of other various cars that show up every once and awhile. I personally think our neighbors are drug dealers...their cars are REALLY NICE and we live in CHEAP apartments! So every night after work or school, Bryce or I have the challenge of parking (we have one reserved spot). Sometimes we get lucky, but other times...I could go hit that little silver sports car!

There you have it, the challenges of living together. There might be a sequel...there might not be! Here are some random pictures that I found today while on Pinterest (Jessica got me hooked!)

 Aren't these adorable!

I always wanted to be a Ballerina...

 Gotta love headbands!

I am so hungry right now!

More Jello! Don't these look amazing?

After one long summer

Well it has been one long summer! As it nears the end, I have taken up watching the show "Weeds" to past the time while I pack up my stuff to move into a new apartment with Bryce :) Just for those of you who haven't watched "Weeds" before, it is pretty good but the scenarios seem to repeat themselves but with different people. Oh and there is a lot of pot involved (and other illegal things). But my summer has consisted of much more fun and exciting things than a show about pot. So this is a little recap of my summer before I start school.
My summer started with a lovely trip to Palm Springs, California. The beginning of the trip was less than lovely though. Just as we pulled into our first In-N-Out stop in Redding, Ca. our air conditioner stopped working. It sucked. Redding was hot! REALLY HOT! and it was just in the high 90s. So we drove the rest of the way to Palm Springs with absolutely no air conditioning. The family would stop at convenience stores just to get the biggest fountain drink cup full of ice (Fun fact: if you only get water or ice in a fountain drink cup, it's only 25 cents!) We momentarily stopped in San Francisco to drop Emily off at the airport to fly out to Germany. If you must know, I cried. I actually cried before my mom did. We were both just a big crying mess.
So by the time we pulled into Palm Springs, the car was a big hot box. The particular day that we pulled into Palm Springs, they had record breaking temperatures of 116 degrees! Do you know how hot that is? Really, really, really HOT! The trip was amazing after we got out of the hot box. Bryce had his first taste of staying in a condo. And let me say this- Once you go Condo, you never go back. We spent our days by the pool, barbequing, shopping, strolling along the paths of the golf course, mingling with strangers, and having absolutely no worries. Molly and Wynn joined us half way through the trip and that was so much fun!
One of the best days of the trip was when Bryce and I drove to L.A. to go to Six Flags. It was so much fun! We got up at 6 A.M and got to the park at 10:30. When we finally got back to the condo from our awesome trip to six flags, it was 1:30 AM! I was so tired and my feet were killing me. But outside of that, the trip to six flags was really, really, really awesome. We went on 9 roller coasters, 11 times total. We rode the Batman twice and another one...that I can't remember right now. The Green Lantern was a little disappointing. We waited in line for an hour and the ride was less than a minute. I guess that is expected though..a little bit. The most extreme ride we went on was X2. Definitely left us with headaches. It was worth the headache though!
Palm Springs is definitely one of my favorite places to visit. It is such a relaxed environment and everyone is so kind. It may be hot, but it is beautiful. I can't wait to go back. I'll post again about the rest of my summer! Here are a few pictures of our trip :)

G.O was helping me pack for the trip :) Best kitty ever!

Bryce and his big beer! Mine is just water.

This parrot whistled at me while I was walking through the JW Hotel. It could also say "Cracker!"

There were geese and swans in our backyard everyday! Bryce was able to make one eat out of his hand. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of that.

Date Night :) We went to the Cheesecake Factory and then to the midnight premiere of Transformers 3!

Goofing around in a gift shop in downtown Palm Springs!

 More goofing around :)

Cheers for Mom and Dad celebrating 28 years of being married! Even Wynn put his juice box up to celebrate, so CUTE!

Cousins :) and Bryce :) Molly was so much fun to have on this trip!

So I am really hungry for this right now! It was angel hair with shrimp in vodka sauce. So good!!

Finally going to Blog

So I have finally had the time to set up my blog. I've "had" a blog since April, but I never took the time to set it up and blog. Well the new school year is about to start so I decided it's about time to blog. So keep an eye out for my future blog posts!
